Historic Vessels
Historic vessels are a passion of Craig and he has been involved in the restoration of many historic vessels during his 40 years’ experience
His own boat is a 1933 Liverpool class lifeboat which he restored in 2007-8 and has sailed many thousands of nautical miles since then.
Not just wooden boats, Craig has also carried out repairs and restoration work to historic iron and steel boats.

This has included passenger vessels which have an MCA inspection after completion of the work.
Craig can advise you during the restoration of your historic craft and carry out a full survey and valuation when the restoration is completed.
Historic boats are vessels of significant age, often pre-dating 1960, and include famous historical ships like the Titanic, not a vessel Craig thinks would pass an inspection and HMS Beagle, as well as more utilitarian examples like the Pesse canoe, the world’s oldest known boat.
