Commercial Skipper Licence
A Commercial skipper licence has been obtained by Craig. Having recently finished the various exams, courses and a medical Craig now has his Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate commercially endorsed.
Craig therefore now holds a commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Offshore certificate. That allows him to skipper vessels of up to 200 GrossTonnage up to 150 Nautical Miles from shore.
The RYA Yachtmaster® Certificate of Competence is the ultimate goal of most aspiring skippers. It is a well – known, highly respected qualification. This commercial skipper licence is recognised widely around the world for use on small commercial vessels as well as for recreational purposes, and provides credible proof of your experience and competence as a skipper.
Craig also carries out work on inland waterways and has been the skipper on many large towing operations Gloucester to Sharpness canal and river Severn.
This also enables Craig to carry out sea trials on vessels that he has surveyed meaning engines and stern gear can be thoroughly checked.
